Fluid:
Provide a suction strainer with a filtering grade of about 100μ (150 mesh). Provide a return line filter of grade 10μm or less on the return line to the tank. (When the pump is used at a high pressure of 2000 psi or greater, a filter of 10μm or less is recommended.) Manage hydraulic operating fluid so contamination is maintained at class NAS10 or lower.
Use hydraulic operating fluid when the operating ambient temperature is in the range of 32 to 140°F.
